I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen this picture....

Found this interesting.... The Cowboys star was almost nixed. I can't imagine the Dallas Cowboys being as popular w/ this horrible boot logo.

Whoever came up with the blue star outlined in another blue star is a genius. It's not just a star. It is uniquely Dallas Cowboys and you recognize it right away. Does anyone know who the designer is/was?

The Cowboys Star is one of the most recognized logos in all of sports worldwide. I can't imagine having anything else on the helmet or in the center of the field.......

I gotta tell ya, it's pretty nice to see a Head Coach of a Professional Football Team dressed in something other then a filthy hoody or a wind suit. A bygone era I suppose.

Not just a bygone era, a buried and forgotten and outlawed era. All coaches have to wear team apparel or get permission from the top office for a game.

Glad we went with these though. They're iconic.

Texas is the Lone Star State and that's where the symbol came from. Not sure who came up with that although a doctor supposedly designed the flag around 1838 when it was introduced into the Senate then approved.

Really strange picture. That's not even a solid color, inside either the boot or the star.

Many moons ago, when I started rooting for the 'Boys, this was the logo I thought should be on the helmet.....I thought the star was just boring......dammm, am I glad they stuck with the star cause it is iconic now and not a cartoon character or an Arena league team this logo would depict. That star is like the Yankee NY symbol, or the Nike swoosh.....great job PR team.

Clint got the idea from glow in the dark plastic stars that he had glued to his office ceiling.
