But they give the credit to Favre.

Jets roar & soar

The Cinderella Jets worked their ratings magic for CBS on Sunday -- while the "Favre Effect" scored big numbers for Fox.

Gang Green's stunning 17-14 victory over San Diego, putting them one win away from a Super Bowl berth, averaged a 23.1 rating -- the highest-rated AFC Divisional playoff game since the Colts-Pats in 2005.

Sunday's game was also up 8 percent over last year's AFC Divisional playoff game (San Diego-Pittsburgh), according to Nielsen overnights.

The news was also good for Fox, which aired the earlier (1 p.m.) NFC Divisional playoff game in which Favre and the Vikings steamrolled Dallas, 34-3. That game pulled a 23.9, up 14 percent over last year (Giants-Eagles).

It was also the first time in 10 years that an early Sunday Divisional playoff game outrated its later counterpart.

I think the Cowboys had a little something to do with the "Favre Effect" ratings.

LOL Who wants to bet this game will get higher ratings than the Saints-Vikes game?
