9. Who's talking to who? Much like at the Reese'sSenior Bowl, NFL clubs interview East-West Shrine Game players on the field immediately following practices. They happen too quickly, too randomly and too far apart for a complete look at which clubs are talking to which players, but here are some of the conversations College Football 24/7 took note of following Monday's practices:

Atlanta Falcons: UCLA OL Jake Brendel, South Carolina State DL Javon Hargrave

Carolina Panthers: Notre Dame DE Romeo Okwara, FSU LB Terrance Smith

Chicago Bears: Miami (Fla.) WR Rashawn Scott

Dallas Cowboys: Notre Dame DE Romeo Okwara

Draft scout has a 5th to 6th round grade. 18th at DE and 196 overall. 8 sacks this year FWIW.

Weaknesses Pad level is sky high and loses leverage almost immediately. Extremely raw. Slow reaction time off the snap and doesn’t have the twitch to burst upfield and threaten an edge as a rusher. Stiff and struggles with direction change. Lacks instincts and pass rush talent.

Bottom Line Big edge player who looks great on the hoof, but who is extremely stiff and mechanical in his movements. Okwara is missing the quickness to be an NFL pass rusher while being a block magnet in the running game. Unless he finds a way to unleash his natural power and have it translate to production on the field, making a roster will be exceptionally difficult.

Cowboys should be talking to Hargrave and Terrence Smith too.

Sounds like Hayden. No wonder they're talking to this stiff instead of a double digit sack master like Javon Hargrave.

I know people are starved for information, but they just chatted with him.

It does not mean we like him, like him.
