WHAT'S SUPER: QB Tony Romo is the unquestioned leader on offense and will continue to improve after gaining substantial experience in 2006. He always gives the team a chance to win and likely will learn how to better protect the ball. The Cowboys have a terrific threat in OLB DeMarcus Ware, but he can't be truly dominant until the team finds a complementary pass rusher to take away some of the opponent's attention. The Cowboys have two solid running backs and must figure out how to take advantage of the strengths of Marion Barber and Julius Jones. They aren't ideal blockers, but a package featuring both could create mismatches.

WHAT'S NOT SUPER: RG Marco Rivera's back issues cause him to struggle with bigger defensive tackles, and too many times this season he was pushed into the backfield. Another offensive line weakness is LT Flozell Adams, who continues to have problems blocking speed rushers. A year after a knee injury, he needs to be an anchor, not just average. On defense, the safeties gave up too many big plays. The team must use SS Roy Williams closer to the line, where he's at his best.

GOT A SHOT? Yes. This team can compete with the game's best. The key is consistency and eliminating costly mental errors. In addition to the high-powered offense, the defense has the potential to become one of the league's most feared units.

Not bad....but

1] Draft a CB [dont tell me Henry is good..he cant cover anyone]
2] sign a backup for Romo
3] Draft OG and OT help
4] Draft a young WR [Glenn and TO are 33+]
5] sign Crayton to a new contract!

CB help is a must. Henry and Glenn are done.

Romo still needs to prove he's the QB of the future, so this year will be his audition. I think the Cowboys will switch back to the 4-3 defense regardless, I don't think it will be Wade Phillips as head coah.

No way Bledsoe is back.

We need a backup for Romo.

We don't want to end up like the 2006 Bears. Nice team, no QB.

Adams did make the Pro Bowl......doing something right!

Yea he really finished the year strong, I don't get the criticism. There's no LT in the league who absolutely never gets beat.

He did? He was unable to handle any type of speed rush and Romo spent most of his time on the run trying to make plays our running game also was very inconsistent. Unless Adams can improve bit time we can't win consistently with the group we currently have on the OL. As for his Pro Bowl? Come on by now most understand making the Pro Bowl and playing to a Pro Bowl level is not the same.

I don't hand the starting job to Romo, ... and I am a big fan of Romo. (see sig pic)

But I just think it would be better to bring someone in who can compete with him for the starting job and let the best man win.

The defense is a long way from one of the league's most feared units. It couldn't even scare Detroit, and after the game, Detroit mocked the Dallas defense. Ellis is a huge question mark, probably will neve return to his former level of play, and Spears is average at best. He needs to gain 20 pounds and then play as Ferguson's back-up.

If Roy Williams can't play off the line, then what value is he? Who is going to take his place in passing situations?

Man I'm still scratching my head about Roy, all I can hope for is an improvement at the DC spot to turn this thing around. And even if we keep Henry at corner (Whom I luv,) we still need some depth at the position.
