In terms of being a team mate, Hardy is everything he was advertised to be so far. There were a lot of posters who were against bringing him in here, in part, because he wasn't the right kind of football player. I think we can probably dispense with that argument, at least.

Hardy is the right kind of football player. I see that he has brought this team together even though he hasn't played a down with the team. His presence in the locker room alone has made our defense better than it once was.

When Ware was here he had to chance to bring this defense together as one collective group. However, all that came of having Ware play for the Cowboys was that they became dependent on Ware as a passrusher and playmaker. I miss Ware and loved him as a Cowboy. But he was not a good leader. Hardy is a leader. He makes everyone around him better and has the respect of everyone - players and coaches alike. I'm so glad that he is here to lay the foundation to this young defense. Although he might not be a Cowboy long term. His leadership and his dedication to being the best is going to rub off on this defense in the long run.

to be blunt there was not a whole lot to lead. and considering the debit we had as a coaching staff up until say his last year or two it would not have made any difference.

. . . Hardy beat Rams undrafted rookie tackle Darrell Williams for a sack on one play, and then was getting pancake-blocked by him on the next.

is getting pancaked by a rookie free agent a strength or a weakness? Cause I don't see getting past him for a sack as a great accomplishment.

Not every play will the defense or the offense win against each other. From what I've been reading is that Hardy is working on his "technique", not necessarily trying to really get after the QB at this stage. He might have been practicing some swim move or a bull rush or whatever and got pancaked. It's just practice from what I hear.
