Not for another two years unless he signs early with the Cowboys.if he can be more consistent than last year, hes going to get paid
Personally I kind of view 3m as getting paid....LOLthis year for 615k
next year RFA for 3m for a 2nd round tender
should be a real bargain and motivated to get paid in 2019

peanuts.....the kicker makes more.....lolPersonally I kind of view 3m as getting paid....LOL
The first-round tender is actually almost $4 million - $3.91 million to be exact this year (will likely be even higher next year). That would scare off most potential suitors. Plus we can always match.if he puts up double digit sacks, we're probably gonna have to pay him. someone will likely try to take him if we slap him with a basic tender.

He took over a couple games last year. If he starts doing that more consistently, a 2nd round tender as a RFA sn't going to stop anybody. Dallas should plan on locking him down next year on a 5 year deal.
Also, buy low. Don't wait until he's getting 10+ sacks. At that point, he's a $15+ mil per year guy and now you can't have a rotation on DL because a single player costs as much as 4 guys.
It's nice to get blind lucky once in a while with a player like Irving.
Agree on the 3 mil, I don't even know what I'd do with that, maybe buy a nice cabin by a lake and all the fishing tackle I could never afford. I get that these kids get what the market dictates, but whew, sometimes I have to take a step back.Personally I kind of view 3m as getting paid....LOL
