The Cotton Bowl announced its playing on Dec 29 this year. My best guess is due to Cowboys having a home game that Sunday the 31st and not wanting to interfere with teams preparation for the game. Both Cotton Bowl teams practice at Cowboys Stadium all week and have a few events there as well.

It looks like it is December 30th which is a Saturday. It could be because of the Bowl game schedules (playoffs) and it could also mean we are away that Sunday.

Chances are we finish on the road at one of the NFCE opponents.
Last year it was at Philly, I bet it is at Giants this year. Would not doubt we end up on the road last 2 games, at Commanders, at Giants.

It's been my pet peeve, the NFL loves for us to end the season on the road. I'd bet if you researched it we've probably ended the season on the road more than any other team in the league during the last 15 to 20 seasons. The NFL believes that the Cowboys on the road against a hated rival equals must see tv so they will flex them to the NBC Sunday night game to boost ratings. This year they had a choice to flex the Cowboys/Bucs game or the Broncos/Pats, guess which one they chose?

Broncos Pats was a protected game by CBS.
