I know next to nothing about Washington. I always pictured him as the number 3 WR at best. I don't think he has ever had a 100 yard game. Am I missing something with him?

He is basically here to fill the void left by Cedrick Wilson.

He isn't a star but he can give them more than Brown in the passing game.

I really want to see Washington play sooner than later. If his speed isn’t there anymore, dump him and get OBJ for depth
It was just 2 quick clips on last night’s local news, but he looked fluid and quick.

..yep, finally. Maybe this guy will kick up Dallas offense. Forget about the OJB hype.

It's about time. I don't think JW is a major boost, but why take so long when he's been healthy?
Current WRs:
1.CeeDee
2.Gallup
3.Noah
4.Turpin
5.Tolbert
Here's my thing with this situation...who's getting cut? Because Turpin isn't going anywhere and Noah has been very good for the team imo. Tolbert has a 3rd round grade on his name, so he's not getting cut. Are the Cowboys carrying 6 or 7 WRs? No. I'd argue they only need 5.

Cowboys have a solid 4TEs...solid 4 WRs. Now if your adding 2 more WRs honestly that's overkill at the receiver position for a team that needs to maintain a running identity.

Guys, I think if they sign Beckham their going pass happy, everything their doing now is indicating passing game. Dak is already passing for around 250 a game now. What do they want 300?
they will cut Brown so if somebody gets hurt again, Cooper will not have a go to guy. Hum, shrugs, sound legit.

Certain folks seem to speak smugly on James Washington.
He's a Texas boy. 4 year starter at Oklahoma State.
Was named the top WR in college his senior year.

He's a solid WR3.

I think he and Beckham could definitely give us an elite receiver group. I also don’t believe it’ll be one or the other.

Brown can focus more on special teams and blocking. Washington is your 4 and Beckham runs with Lamb and Gallup.

i think they should move Brown to TE

I would imagine a highly motivated James Washington.

Wasn't it a one year contract? I'm sure the strategy for Washington was to ball out this season in the way that Wilson did last season. After the season, he feels the love in free agency.

So far, it's not exactly going as planned. He desperately needs to show something during the rest of the season.

At least, we're going to see what James Washington has to offer and if it's likely to help our WR corps. Here's hoping for great results! :flagwave:

Yeah. No. LOL. You guys make me laugh. If he doesnt sign here this is going to be the narrative. However. He has 2 visits set up before the Cowboys. So unless those blow him out of the water and some how manage to change the weather the NY. He comes to Dallas and doesnt leave.
In case you've not heard it in awhile ..You're smart!
