Per Next Gen Stats, Pollard's 87 explosive score ranked fifth among ball-carriers. His score topped the likes of Dalvin Cook (83), Josh Allen (84), Derrick Henry (85), Saquon Barkley (86) and Nick Chubb (87), respectively.

That's impressive company as it features three of maybe the top 5-7 running backs in the league. Only Travis Etienne and Kenneth Walker posted higher explosive scores at the position than the Cowboys star.

More noteworthy, though, is that 16.1% of Pollard's rush attempts last season went for 10 or more yards. That was the most of any running back. He also tallied 15 runs of 10-plus rush yards over expected and clocked 43 runs in which he reached 15-plus miles per hour.

Finally, Pollard forced 41 missed tackles and averaged a whopping 3.82 yards after contact per attempt. For context, Derrick Henry averaged 3.61 yards after contact per attempt, while Nick Chubb averaged 3.48, Saquon Barkley posted 2.78 and rushing champ Josh Jacobs averaged 3.4 yards YAC per attempt.

As a rule, limit his carries to 20 or less, and pound another runner between the tackles to improve his sustainability and freshness.

The question is, do we have that other runner on our roster? Rojo, Davis and Duece are all big question marks.

They've addressed RB about the same way they did WR last offseason. We had to scour fa for Hilton, what happens this season?

I dont hate the Rojo signing, it just feels James Washington- esque.

The trio of Ronald Jones, Deuce Vaughn, and Malik Davis won't be heavily game planned by too many defenses.

I think Luepke and Deuce will see action if they can pick up the playbook. TP and (camp winner bw Rojo, Davis, Dowdle) will likely be 1-2.
Adding a better option is possible and prob wouldn't be hard to find an affordable upgrade over the current backup trio.
Luepke could be quite interesting as a combo FB, RB, TE type. If Luepke can cover kicks I think he makes the active roster.
Deuce may have a harder time getting active and earning some playing time unless he can steal the return role.

People in here are absolutely mental having an issue franchising this guy. Team needs this guy bad.
Yeah sign him to a huge contract so fans can turn on him also as soon as he gets stopped at the LOS for no gain a few times.
And that WILL happen, he will have his share of no gains as he has some last year as well.

Its amazing how much better the line blocked for Pollard than Zeke . . . Its almost like if your 40 time can be measured with a calendar, you can't get to the line before the holes close.

Same posters that don’t want to pay Diggs. They use the Jaylon, Zeke and Dak contracts as the reason. Those posters also want to trade Parsons for two firsts.

Some of y'all missed the announcement that Pollard is now faster after the injury. So we got that going for us...

Exactly! Now you're getting it...Most of his haters used to kiss his butt. That's why they need to get paid when they can, so called fans and FOs chew them up and spit them out.
Rbs should not be under current contract rules. They should be able to negotiate a max contract right out of college because their careers are so short.

And Zeke was stellar his first four years in the league. His stats were better than Derrick Henrys until last year.

With that being said, his legs are burnt toast now. Though I am glad he got paid before the injuries caught up with him.
