Thanks, Hos.

Amazing - 8 of the top 11 receiving TD seasons in Cowboys history occurred in 1970 or earlier.

Here's amazing.

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/HayeBo00.htm

Look how often Bob Hayes got in the endzone on how few passes compared to today. Look at his YPC.

Look at his first 6 years. Double digit TDs every year. His 71 is still a Cowboys receiving record. After 32 years.

How is this guy not in the Hall of Fame?

Nearly one out of every 5 receptions went for a TD! (19.1%) and a 20 yard per catch average!

The NFL HoF is a joke.

Because he ran with his hands in his pants in the Ice Bowl....Bob Hayes dropped 20 passes a season...he was the Original TO....Was he fast? Sure....but never a gamer.

....this killed us
How did Cowboy receiver Bob Hayes help the Packer defense throughout the game?
He kept his hands in his pants. Varying accounts exist of whether Hayes kept his hands in his pants only when the Cowboys were running the ball, or for all plays for which he wasn't the receiver. But whatever the account, Hayes was the Cowboys' best receiver, he frequently kept his hands in his pants, and this would let the Packer defense know they didn't need to worry about him for the play.

You forgot Witten.

Witten: 65 catches, projects to 87. He's also is in range of tying the bottom of the TD list, but I doubt he does, especially if he gets rested week 17 or something.

And his projection for yards is only 17 yards short (1096) of tying the bottom of the yardage list (1113).

Im so sick of the BS that is the HOF

When Bob Hayes, Chuck Howley, Harvey Martin, and Ed "Too Tall" Jones, and Drew Pearson are not members of your elite fraternity.......your faternity blows chunks.

Not to mention that Ralph Neely, John Niland, and Cornell Green deserve to be there as well. Come to think about it.......Cliff Harris and Charlie Waters also deserve to be in the HOF.

That is at least 9 players from the Landry 20 years of winning that should be in the HOF, but for some stupid reason, they aren't.

In 2005 Terry Glenn had 1,136 rec. yards so he should be 10th right?

***!??

Drew Pearson is not on any of those lists!

Well, he should still be in the ROH and the HOF anyway.

I think to be even close to the top 10 warrants merit seeing as how he is a TE.

He has comparable numbers to HoFers Lynn Swann and John Stallworth, was voted to the 70s All Decade Team, and was known as Mr. Clutch (most notably the original Hail Mary).

I sent something similiar to this about 2 years ago plus quotes from people who played against Bob...plus stats of WR's that played in the same era that are in the HOF... to voters for the HOF and asked them to write me back with their justification as to why Bob isn't in so I can publish them in a book that I am writing about the Cowboy's and the media that covers them...

I have not gotten back one response... not one

Not surprising. The media feels that is has no responsibility to justify any of its actions or statements. To be able to say and do anything you want with no responsibility for it (unless of course it is racist or sexist)? What a sham!

Why the mediots are the ones who make up the HoF Selection Committee is the real problem here.

I have always thought that having MEDIOTS do the selecting for the HOF is a total slap in the face to every hard working honest player/coach/GM in the NFL. Most mediots have no integrity, honesty, and would not know hard work if it beat them to death. Add in their patently obvious bias and prejudice, and that is why the HOF stinks like week old dead fish.
