Cowboys - top 5 organization??

I've been a die hard cowboy fan for 31 years and like many have said this was the worst season in team history. All the talent and potential went for nothing, so I ask the question. Given play on the field, FA pick-ups, and drafting ability, are the Cowboys a top 5 organization in the NFL right now.

Here's my top 5:

1. Patriots
2. Steelers
3. Giants
4. Chargers
5. Cowboys

Best on the field - Pats
Best at draft - Giants
Best at FA - Pats

why do you say the giants are the best at the draft? I do not agree with that

This line of thinking is a huge part of the reason why we haven't sniffed a playoff win in 13 years (IMHO)... Who cares where the organization lies in the grander scheme of things? Win win win and let the chips fall as they may. See the media. Don't be the media.

No. Any top 5 team would have won a playoff game in the last couple of years.

why do you say the giants are the best at the draft? I do not agree with that

take a look at the players they drafted.

Thats fair but I wouldn't say that they have done a better job drafting than we have.

We also didn't have to spend a top 3 pick to get a franchise QB like they did as well.

I think we have done well also, just that they have more consistent drafts. Ours are either good (2005/2008) or suck to high heaven (2004/2006).

I don't think they drafted Eli with a top 3 pick. I know he was #1 by SD and traded for Rivers who was drafted a few picks later.

Cowboys aren't top 5 because the ravens are definately ahead of them the last 10 seasons wins, playoff wins, superbowls. And they did it with no quaterback at all.
Ossie newsome has been one of the best gm's in the league for a while now and they drafted ray lewis terrell suggs ed reed bart scott adulius thomas peter boulware, jamal lewis, john ogden, jamie sharper, chris mcallister, todd heap, dajuan landry, duane starks, and so on.

Half of their teams are quality players built through the draft. They have to make the top 5. I love my cowboys but I see

1.Steelers
2.Colts
3.Giants
4.Chargers
5.Ravens

All these teams have drafted well and had sucess.

All time I definately like our boys but not recent even though we are doing better. You also have to consider the philadelphia pigeons (mcnabb, westbrook, lito, sheldon brown, bunkley,patterson, trent cole, desean jackson, and all of their o-linemen who come out of no where and performs well.
