TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

A third. A third that could very well be high in the round.

For a headcase rental that Tomlin couldn't corral.

This is why Jerry's Cowboys never win anything.

The way I see it, he becomes a potential comp pick if we do not resign him after the season. If he plays great, we can basically get a 3rd round pick back via a comp pick if the contract is high. If not, we still should get a comp pick, and we get a WR, which we need. So, to me, despite the compensation, I think it's a low risk deal. Plus, fwiw, we got a 7th back in the deal too. So, all in all, not bad.

He won't get a third round comp contract. Those almost never happen.

It's not low risk when your ask yourself why a smart franchise like Pittsburgh dumped him. When have any of their other problem WRs worked out elsewhere?

I'm very concerned that this is a bad idea.

I'm also hopeful that I don't know anything and we have a kick *** team.

I like the idea here, I just don't like the player.

I don't love the player either, but, all things considered, I don't see it as too high a risk considering he's, at worst, a 1 year rental. In theory, we should get a decent comp pick for him if we don't resign him, and we get a rather well known bandaid for our number 2 WR position. Not bad.

Much more likely we extend him now and it blows up in our face than he plays on his expiring deal and we let him walk.

I like the talent but the player is a head case. Couldn’t make it work with Tomlin. Jerry going to make it work?

Well, the talk of character went out the window.
Can't wait to see him pout in half of the games this year.
Yeah, when he doesn’t get enough targets in his walk year he will lose his mind.

It’s be one thing if this team was ready to contend this year but they aren’t.
