TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

Yes, my Steelers fan friend, absolutely hated getting rid of Pickens.

We thought the combination of Metcalf and Pickens would be great, like Chase and Higgins.
Now it will be Lamb and Pickens.

Who do you double cover?

So this is Jethro being "all in"? Renting a headcase for a year?

If he does well, he'll want top 5 money. You paying him top 5 money?

If he doesnt do well, then it was a wasted roster spot and picks.

As Ive said, this is all about Dak anyway. I dont care how many tools you give him, he is still limited. So now it will be Pickens running open while Dak forces it CD. Only difference will be that Pickens wont just sit by quietly like Cooks, Tolbert etc.

There is no way the Cowboys were trading up for anyone. They needed more picks not less.

Look at this year's 3rd round draft pick. That's the value Dallas gave up.

Bad deal for a 3rd without a new contract.

Even if the Cowboys don't give him a new deal, they likely get at least a 4th if not a 3rd comp pick back.

Look at Jerry’s history of dealing for WR.

Again, it’d be one thing if this was an over the top type move, but they aren’t ready to win and if Pickens does anything of significance they will be saddled with replacing him next year.

And again, again….wait until he doesn’t get his targets in his walk year. The guy threw a fit by not being drafted in the first, says dumb things on social media.

This is NOT what this team needed right now. It isn’t fantasy football.

Well Mike sucked so I can’t say it’s not some of his doing. It I had to add some twisted way of thinking to it….he wanted Mike to make him keep him by winning with crap. And Mike did good of getting the most out of crap but he was never going to win with that team. He gave him Zeke for some odd reason.

Typical Dallas trade.....they could have gave up a 3rd round pick in the 2025 draft and moved up to get TMAC....and wouldn't have to pay TMAC for 5 years....now they gave up a 3rd and have to either pay Pickens or let him walk.....Dallas boxed themselves in and got another head case for WR and still has to pay him.....so Dallas like..

A third would not have been nearly enough to get ahead of Carolina who took TMAC.

It would have cost the Cowboys 1st and 2nd to move up to #7 and that’s assuming the Jets wanted to trade down.

This isn’t Madden where a team just says “gimme”.
