My gut is telling me this is a bad deal.. Reminds me of James Washington coming from the Steelers. How did that turn out?I will echo the thoughts that if Tomlin couldn't make it work with him, Schottenheimer has no shot.
I like your optimism or was that sarcasm.Bang.
This can't possibly end badly.
Wow you are fine with adding the best receiver available in this offseason.I’m absolutely fine with the move. There is definite cause for concern with his attitude issues, but I can’t criticize the cowboys for not doing anything and then when they do make a deal for a position of need get mad.
If he’s a malcontent you get a comp pick, you took a chance and it failed. If it works and he’s really good you have the ability if needed to keep him. Schottenheimer wants to change the culture- this looks like a move counterproductive to that but the nfl isn’t the Boy Scouts, you have to manage personalities to change culture and that includes guy who can be headaches at time. Will be a test for schotty as a first year coach.
Lol, they just got one of the best receivers in the league and the best one available in this entire offseason. My gut is telling me this is a bad deal.. Reminds me of James Washington coming from the Steelers. How did that turn out?
Dude was a free agent who signed a one year deal for the minimum before he broke his foot in training camp and played like two games. My gut is telling me this is a bad deal.. Reminds me of James Washington coming from the Steelers. How did that turn out?
The point was Pittsburgh does not let a wide receiver leave unless there is said problems with him. Time will tell. See my other thread on what Jourdan Lewis thought.Lol, they just got one of the best receivers in the league and the best one available in this entire offseason.
Watkins talks so much crap.Oh boy they gonna hate this.
Lewis said that because of one play last year. It wasn’t a football opinion, lolThe point was Pittsburgh does not let a wide receiver leave unless there is said problems with him. Time will tell. See my other thread on what Jourdan Lewis thought.
Washington was a third or fourth receiver who had one decent season (44 for 735 and 3 TDs). Pickens was a lead receiver with no fewer than 52 receptions in his three seasons and no fewer than 800 yards ... and both of those were his rookie year and he's improved since then.My gut is telling me this is a bad deal.. Reminds me of James Washington coming from the Steelers. How did that turn out?
All time classic. This feels like the Charles Haley trade.
I just hope the Joneses aren't so determined to prove themselves right about Mingo that he's forced into the lineup ahead of Turpin. Turpin needs to be our main third receiver. What if Mingo was about to break out and we just messed it up?
What top players? Diggs is more of a liability now after his second injury. Revel is a rookie coming off major injury and we just promoted our 6th CB on depth chart out of desperation. On paper we have top end players in the secondary, at linebacker, and certainly on the defensive line but it has to all come together. I don’t blame you for being skeptical we all know this can blow up in our faces like 2020. You can’t really judge the defense until you see the scheme. You seem to think Parsons, Fowler, EZ, Osa, Bland, Revel, Diggs, and Overshown are scrubs. You can’t be farthest from the truth.
