Dallas received - Joe Milton and a 7th

New England received - 5th rounder

Split the difference and let's call it a 6th we gave up. That's a steal.

So NE used a 6th round pick on a QB. They had a 6th round QB pick years ago. Wonder if they wanted to recreate that magic.

So Jerry is thinking,.... no, I want that magic, because we never draft QB's higher that the 4th round .... other than when they had no choice to take Troy. So they will take a 6th rounder and hopefully will not waste this opportunity.

The Patriots used a 6th round pick last year in 2024 to draft Joe Milton. Milton only played Week 17 during their last regular season game. But, Jerry once again, gets outsmarted and uses a 5th round pick to trade for Milton? Sounds like yet another team won a trade against Jerry.

Milton was well known. Warts and all. Just stop with the Brady talk it makes you sound stupid. Further Mr Forum Football expert they just signed Dak to a 4 year extension. A really expensive extension. Better or worse he is the guy. This team has a million holes. Giving a 5 for a guy that was drafted in the 6th round a year ago with all the holes on this roster is why this team has been a joke for 3 decades.

Makes me sound stupid? Was Brady not drafted in the 6th? And yes, Dak was extended and restructured. Did I ever say that he wasn't the starter (when healthy)? Giving a 5th for a guy with all the physical tools in a weak QB draft (along with a 7th) when you have a need for a backup QB is not a bad deal. Trading late round picks which are traditionally dart throws anyway in no way makes us a joke. The only people laughing are the ones laughing at you for saying such outlandish things.

Shotty just gave praise to Will Grier last week lol smh.

I'm looking forward to seeing Grier and Milton in the preseason. The last time we saw Grier he threw for over 300 yards.

I think Tom was drafted in the 12th round or something back when the draft was super long.

Ok, has anyone mentioned Dak getting injured yet? Not that I saw, yet you are here saying it will happen. That is what I'm talking about, and you seem to do that at times without even knowing it.

Milton can help this team, but it depends on when Dak gets his season ending injury this season. If it happens early in the season, then we're in business but if it happens after we are out of the playoff race then that doesn't help.

The idea is to draft a top running back which will take pressure off of Dak and maybe he makes it through the season healthy.

Speaking of griping. I just saw Jeff Cavanaugh acting like an idgit about this trade like he was unmoved by it. I wonder sometimes if that guy knows how football operations actually work. I think he just hates to get clicks sometimes. Anyone who poo poos this trade needs to be checked out to see if they need meds. On any level, this was a nice trade for us.
