TRADED Cowboys trade for Joe Milton

You must have loved the 4 for Lance trade too. Milton has all the physical tools just like Lance. They share the same problem which is the ability to accurately throw the football. Milton’s accuracy beyond 10 yards was awful and the reason why a 6’5” 235 pound guy from the SEC went in the 6th round.
His accuracy was good against Buffalo.

Don't you remember? I told you before. We all love you, Coog.

It is common for those in rehab to push their loved ones away. We will not give up on you, Coog.

One day, you will accept replies without begging for thoughts.

One day, Coog. ONE DAY! THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM WILL COME TRUE! <click here for dramatic music!>
Speak for yourself, don't include me in your "we".

I really don't have much of a problem with this trade. A 5th rounder? We have 3.
Right i would love to roast Jerry but this isnt a bad move plus he has skills that we could use every game this year, if he puts some control with his physicals he would be a great replacement, if he doesnt then your drafting for Daks replacement at that time anyway.

I think they were looking for a guy who could be BOTH developmental and backup. Hell if they wanted a backup, there was/is plenty of that out there. But my guess they wanted a guy with starting potential to sit behind Dak for the next couple of years and see what happens.
BOTH.
yeh that was trey lance hope of both.

Dilemma is if dak bangs a shoulder or breaks a pinkie finger and out a couple games or three, we don't have a couple of years to wait on a Milton.

We need that immediate backup to buy time and bus drive wins to keep us in the race.

That's the luxury of having a jimmy Grap, Jacob brisslet, Andy dalton, cooper rush, or Marcus mariota

It was mostly against Buffalo's backups. They were resting their starters as it was the last game of the season and they already had the division locked up. Milton likely won't be anything more than a serviceable backup QB, but that's okay. We need that, especially given Dak's injury history.

Agree but some ( maybe a lot ) is just inexperience. Pretty sure his head is spinning with no concept behind why, what, when or how certain plays develop.
For sure and again i dont know that everyone see this but he will see the field this year he is like the protype for a tush push..4th and short may be a diferent story for us if this guy has anything to make the QB2 role.

Gave a 5th round pick for A guy picked in the 6th. LOL... Another waisted draft pick. The Cowboys would be better off taking a chance in the draft for a QB.
they were never going to draft a QB early so the best case draft scenario was more than likely a 5th round flyer on guys like Gabriel ,Mccord,Cook or Leonard with a slight chance on a Jaxxon Dart if he dropped to 44. They had 3 5th rounders and they got a 7th in return this is low risk with a reward possibility. He looked good against buffalo I like this move

It doesn't matter. He was accurate.

So, Stephen was not BS'ing when he said they weren't done. Wow! That's a first!! LOL
He said a MAJOR trade could happen

A 6th round scrub QB that will hang around the league a handful of years as a backup, just like 40 to 50 other journeyman #2 or #3 types do, and then just vanish without anyone noticing.

so yeah, Stephen was either BSing, or even dumber than we thought...if this is MAJOR

Is it a fabulous move? Of course not, but I can put it in the "W" column for this front office.

They don't get very many of them when it comes to the offseason.

Wanted out of New England because he thought he had a better shot of beating out Dak Prescott, than a 2nd year so so QB.

LOL

Can't say I disagree with him....
