TRADED Cowboys trade for Joe Milton

Well, I guess we will see how they do in the draft. Jerra is the smartest in the room, so all is good.

Did you know Jerra is in the HOF?
Does anyone living in Canton, Ohio or visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame know Jerry Jones is enshrined there--without him having to tell them that he is..?

This dude right here.

Thats the off season. Man, two picks for 1 guy that , get this boys, stops the run, that right there was the ticket. He doubles up our WR corp, and straight up, intercepts the ball. This is going to be so awesome to watch this season.

Man, back up QB too? this dude is loaded. Watch our Dak, back up dude taking your spot. And will know our system, whatever system that is. I love giving up picks for guys who wont move the team.

Keep Rush who knows our system, plus we know can win with the team, knows our opponents, or this dude, and we give up two picks. Solid work bros. This is what the off season is about. Tickets gonna rise and Vegas is reset.
They only gave up one pick, but got a 7th in return for their 5th and Joe Milton.

He also had an amazing TD pass where he avoided three sacks while scrambling that was called back by a penalty in that game.
He has a good arm and excellent mobility, plus he has size. Not to mention he took some shots down the field. He looked better than anything I saw from Lance. Definitely has some potential.

His bronze head is the first thing you see at the entrance to that HOF. I think there was an article that said if his head was not the first thing, he would just go ahead and buy the damn building.

No problem with the deal. Feel better than working with a never will in Grier. Still would not be surprised with a late round flier on a QB. I will say at the very least we are rebuilding the bottom of the roster. We NEED several draft picks to be immediate hits though.

He’s definitely one of the coolest looking QB’s in the league. He’ll look awesome in a Dallas uniform. Getting him with three years left on his rookie deal is great. Hopefully he makes Dak expendable after 2026, but honestly I see them as very similar players (questionable arm and average mobility).
Questionable arm is not an issue… he has a cannon arm

I wonder if Dak will invite him over to his little half football field for some practice?

Maybe that is a better alternative to greet visitors than an A.I. hologram of him, haha. :D

:(

Do you actually think they're going to be fine with us having a great running game, it would surely help him though
I most definitely think that if you fix the running game and increase TOP and keep the defense off the field and the others guys on it you improve the team. does it fix everything probably not

I wonder if Milton gets jersey number 19 from Ryan Flournoy, who just switched to that number?

Only other QB eligible jersey number available now is 10, since 8 and 12 are unofficially off limits.
I think 10 is a better QB number anyway. But Milton was 5 at Michigan, 7 at Tennessee, 19 at NE; he doesn't seem to be married to a number.

I certainly don't mind this trade, but don't know why the Patriots were willing to trade him for so little when they just spent a sixth on him last year.
Agree, seems as if a hedge bet against Maybe busting is worth more than a fifth.

I’d also ask why our team, who is reliant on mid round picks panning out trades them away as if they are no big deal.

I looked back after at first just paying attention to the numbers he had in that regular-season finale. His preseason numbers weren't very good. Seemed to back why he wasn't drafted until the sixth round. Excellent arm but accuracy isn't great. When he makes a throw, it might wow you, but then he misses throws a QB has to make.

Maybe the finale performance already showed he's grown in that regard. It's not a bad trade because you can't teach arm strength and this QB class isn't overwhelming. We were going to spend a pick on one anyway but now we didn't really. We just essentially traded down.
