TRADED Cowboys trade for Joe Milton

I'm glad to have him. Rush got his money and I suspect he will be out of the league shortly.
You seem to like whoever we get and downplay players we lose. Good backup QBs can play a long time in this league, and Cook has been a good backup QB. That's why he got more the $6 million per year in free agency.

I damn sure like this move.

He can't play. He played 6 years in college, a year in NE, still has no idea how to read a defense, can't throw a reasonably accurate ball. Having the size of a DE and quite possibly the strongest arm in NFL history doesn't mean much when you don't know how to use it. He slowed Josh Heupel's usually wide open offense, they had to dumb the offense down to ridiculous levels, went numerous games without attempting even a single pass in the middle of the field, appeared to essentially cut the field in half for Milton's reads.

Another waste of a draft pick, but at least it wasn't a 4th rounder this time.

Lol, go watch the all 22 against the Bills.

Somebody who actually watched and paid attention to his college tape.
Appreciate ya man.

Trading a guy that played 1 game over multiple years and couldn’t elevate to backup for a 4? I think I understand you now. Good luck.
Well yes, if we could all see the future there would be no need to debate anything as we would all know the answers. But at the time, trading a mid-round pick for someone who was highly thought of by a coaching staff a lot of people think highly of (to be fair, most of our fans think anyone who isn't one of our coaches is better than our coaches), is a good deal. It's all a dart throw. The potential is there, it just doesn't always work out.

You can of course joke about one play in a meaningless week 17 game because as we all know 1 play or even one game (he had a great game) is meaningless. But, it’s kind of funny (or maybe sad?) that if that play were made by a Cowboy it might have been our best play of the year :p
Bazooka Jedi….

I highly doubt Jerry is drafting a QB with a high pick next year.
You may be right they may not be in position to do so. In fact the cowboys haven’t been in position to do so very often

It also depends on what you consider high if you feel like Jaxon dart is high he probably would be available at 44 this year but this is a bad year for qbs going high

Ward is going to be the #1 pick and if he was coming out last year he likely would have been picked behind all 6 of the 1st round qbs picked last year

The cowboys have more issues than just the qb but that is the one that gets the most attention from media and fans

If you feel like the qb is holding the team back then I guess you root for a terrible year upcoming

I don’t believe that to be the case . I believe Jerry and Steven is the issue or at least the biggest part of it

The could have gone with Grier and used the pick in the draft or They could have kept Cooper.
Well, Rush is making 3x the money and has zero percent chance to develop beyond what he is today.

Grier is awful and worse than Rush.

I think most fans have been asking for the Cowboys to have a developmental QB on the roster for years and that’s what they have now and they got one for moving down 41 spots on day three of the draft.

It’s very low risk.

There is no risk.
