While I do not necessarily disagree with you, one was the 3rd pick in the draft and the other was a 30th. A rather large difference between those two drafting positions, so this is not really an apples to apples comparison or reference.

My point is there are many 1st round busts or those who are never very good.
So being a 1st round pick doesnt mean much till the player proves himself.
