TRADED Cowboys trade OL Nate Thomas to Houston Texans

Dallas is most likely going to trade Mingo before the first season game.

I'd be onboard with this. I do wonder if the reason they weren't playing him against New Orleans was because they didn't want to risk injury in case of a trade.

Trading the wrong tackle
I disagree. Thomas has had three years to develop. If you keep him, you are either cutting him next year or paying him. He regressed a bit. I would have cut them both, but at least give Shelton a year to develop a bit. Thomas was stashed for a year as well.

This is a fair point. The scouts should come under fire too. Team doesn't appear to know OL well at all.
Ding ding ding...
Winner winner Chicken dinner.

Or dlinemen either for that matter.

They've been screwing up late round draft picks for so long though that I doubt half the scouts are still here.

I mean both of y'all need to just calm down We may not know it are are you saying just because of Tyler Guyton who was picked before this coaching staff came here Might have taken a little while to come along but the whole entire interior line Including the depth that they dugout in Bass and Hoffman and now this year the inside looks like they got some depth You tell me they don't know what they're talking about because they missed on steel and didn't develop a few players that literally were taken before this coaching staff got here..

Don't call it scouts these scouts help but the coaching staff helps pick these guys they get a list they talk about it I'm sorry but if the coaches need to develop players they need to develop players that they drafted so who was taken with Coach Schottenheimer on offense last year that you don't think is developing 'cause that's when his tenure started that is when his vision and the people he wanted here started,

Literally the same thing with Parker he just got the team he is doing his best to help purge it in one offseason it's going to take probably two maybe 3 , There isn't anybody on this team and again if if you're blaming the scouting department for getting players over there that need to be coached up, well the coaches are all new and you can't blame the scouting department for that..

But truly let's look at the 2025 draft and now the 2026 draft and players they brought over in free agency that may have been suggested by this new coaching staff and let's talk about how they're not developing them already in your eyes come on dude there is no winner winner chicken dinner Ding Ding Ding the only Ding Ding Ding in here is you too I feel like you need a trophy for saying something that's not even accurate..

Traditionally it’s been one of the strengths of the entire scouting and draft process.

Booker, Beebe and Smith were all in the last four years and are all good and deserved their draft. Guyton is still here and has another year to be sorted out.

I was actually being tongue and cheek and if were to cut or trade a tackle it would be Steele

I'm gonna remind folks I already did this I need to check my responses from this morning I haven't heard from the replies george Pickens is most likely gone and we will get a lot of draft picks for him it won't just be 1 first either be 2 first or first a second a third and a 4th literally we seen it with Khalil Mack and Parsons and like I can name about 20 trades for guys on his level that we will get multiple draft picks and all of a sudden everybody's all worried and they're concerned and the Cowboys will have a bounty of draft picks..
Problem with those trades is those were players under contract. Pickens will either be free next offseason and you only get a 3rd, or you have to double franchise him and his price goes up for everyone else.

Extending during a rookie contract is farrrrrrr preferable to having to negotiate with a guy who refuses to sign their second straight franchise tag. That heavily impacts value on top of the fact Pickens is not on the level of Micah or Mack
