Cowboys Try Out 3 DBs

The Cowboys worked out defensive backs Brandon Burton (Utah), Myron Lewis (Vanderbilt) and D.J. Moore (Vanderbilt) to possibly help a unit that's struggled against the pass.

Wait...what? With Mo coming back and Sterling Moore playing well...this doesn't make sense. Looking for a cover Safety, maybe? Or some injury we're not aware of?

Was expecting this to be LBs this week.

Come on idgit I know you didn't just start following this group. The illogical is logical around valley ranch these days

yeah very surprised we are not looking at any linebackers?? we literally have no one left at that position now

Seriously, though....this is weird, right? Were they maybe watching Foles struggle with zone coverage a bit in MIN? Thinking about maybe moving Carr to S with Mo back and Moore playing well and wanting a 4th CB because they no longer trust Webb? Now that I see it, I guess that could make some sense, huh?

Still...we need LBs. Unless we're getting one or more of our injured guys back and/or they know they're just going to bring Lemon back. I'm talking to myself here, but sort of answering my own questions. :)

These guys are probably signed to futures contracts at year end. It is also possible that Mo is put on IR and one of these guys is signed.

Could mean that we are going to be playing a lot more of those dime packages where Church moves down in the box.

That could make sense, but the report yesterday was the Mo was going to be coming back to practice. And why zone CBs? We don't get enough pressure to not get eaten up in zone, and it goes against what our existing CBs are all best at.

The futures contract was something I'd considered, but when you bring three guys in at one position, that says you're looking for somebody to play defensive snaps for you. If we'd just squirreled away a CB on the active roster with two games to play, I'd understand it better.

Maybe if we aren't trying out LB's we're just going for the dime

Ware-Hayden-Hatcher-Selvie

Church- Wilber

Carr-OS-Moore

Heath-Wilcox

Sterling Moore was our best CB this organization is a joke . They continue to start Heath who is horrid out there . And start sims at LB .
