Dear Dez critics!

1. Let's focus on this year instead of going back to help the agenda. 2. These are good numbers. Not elite but good. Not 17m good. Not top player paid on team good. Not top 3 wr pay good.

I can't speak for other "Dez critics " but for me, I have no issue with Dez and him not being the Dez of 2014 and before. I would love for him to finish as a cowboy. But not for what he's being paid. He was paid for what he did from 2010-2014 and that's fine. After this year, he needs to be paid for what he's done from 2015-2017. Which isn't close to what he's making now.

Which is fine but you also can't ignore the fact he is playing with a 2nd year QB and how he is being used in this offense.

Is he elite, no, but he is still a damn good player.

12 TDs is elite good. For perspective no WR this season is on pace for 12 tds.

The receptions and yards will be down as this offense throws less than most.

Well, we disagree on the excuse or reason for his his decline in play and numbers because hes playing with a 2nd year player. But we do agree he's still a good player. Just not 17m good.

Well, to me that's just another excuse on why his numbers are down. We threw less in 2014 and his numbers were his best in his career. I'm sure someone will use the reason of it was Romo and not dak throwing to him but that's been disproved so hopefully we don't have to hash that out again.

Yes, his tds are elite. Elite td numbers doesn't and shouldn't equal elite pay. Lol again lets focus on this year. Hes on pace for 8. But even if he improves on that, it doesn't equal elite pay.

He's the highest paid player on the team and not close to being the best or most important on the team. He's top 3 paid in the league's and isn't close to being top 3. I love him as a player and want him to finish as a cowboy but for less money. I'm good with it this year. It is what it is but at the end of the year his contract needs to be taken care of. That's all on saying. I just don't get how people think he's still the player he was in 2014. Jmo

He earned his contract. Will he restructure, maybe. We shall see.
