That is a downer. That must be one vicious groin injury. But kickers are funny, that kind of injury if it does not heal properly can affect the kicker for years.

I think that is something like what happened to Nick Folk. He was Bailey-level accurate his first year, got hurt and then was lousy thereafter.

I hate it, but sit him as long as you have to. If scoring 3 points to win a game is consistently that big of a deal, you are not going anywhere in the playoffs.

As much as I don't like having Bailey on the field, I hope they err on the conservative side and do NOT bring him back early. I'm talking like maybe even extra weeks of caution even when he thinks he's ready.

I have been pleasantly surprised by Nugent, and if he keeps this up I feel he will be rewarded with a starting job somewhere.

Wow, I feel like I just got punched in the gut.

Due to the unnecessary hole the team dug itself with the crushing losses to the Rams/Packers, the margin for error is really small, even for a wildcard berth. You've got to think a game will hinge on the kicking game at some point. Let's hope we can continue to win by double digits without the security blanket that is Dan Bailey.

Yup - as much as I think we all appreciate Bailey, you don't quite fully appreciate him until he's no longer there. No Bailey or Zeke over the next month+ sure would change Red's decision making process.
