So if Zeke loses today then get lost forever? Or is there another play in the playbook?

At this point, it’s likely back and forth all season. I don’t think we see a six game suspension until next season

If Zeke loses today, he'll be out six games starting immediately since he won't have the protection of a preliminary injunction preventing the suspension from being enforced. He'll likely still pursue his appeal of the suspension (or, more accurately, the arbitration ruling) since he'll want his name cleared. At any rate, the NFL will be seeking confirmation of the arbitration ruling whether Zeke pursues the appeal or not. Likely we won't have a decision confirming (if the NFL wins) or vacating (if Zeke wins) the arbitration ruling for many months.

So this what confuses me. If Zeke loses today, and then the appeal for this injunction happens in 4 weeks, he serves those 4 games as part of the suspension. Then he wins the injunction appeal, and then by some miracle wins the fair arbitration hearing so there is no suspension. How do they reconcile the fact that he served 4 games? Does he get credit for the next suspension? Can he trade it to Gregory, or the next Cowboy to be suspended?

If Zeke loses any pay, does that trigger his opportunity to sue the NFL in a new lawsuit?

If yes, does he get to go to Sherman, or is he locked into the pit of Manhattan?

Friday is Veterans Day.

Will the court issue a decision on a holiday?
