Why is the only option to cut him? The Eagles got rid of the Chip era mistakes in a couple off seasons with trades.... why can't we trade him for at least a 2nd? His contract isn't that outrageous, it just doesn't work for our situation. Would be stupid to simple cut him, cause you know he's going to an nfc east team next

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I thought you didn't like the Dez contract? Just stupid because they don't really have a replacement?

I don't like his contract but Dez is still a very very talented receiver. He needs discipline and coaching. Cutting him makes us a worse team. We would be a way better team with an engaged and disciplined Dez

That, however, is a very tall ask

Dez signing in the nfc east would be the worst.

Watching dez score touchdowns on our secondary at AT&T Stadium in an nfc east uniform will be absolutely ridiculous.

This front office is terrible. They are the pretend patriots.

Agreed but I can't help but believe that cutting Dez Bryant is addition by subtraction. It'll pay off in the long run even if Dez plays well next year somewhere else.

I think it's subtraction because of no addition. Hurns isn't a No. 1 receiver. He'll fare no better than Dez has against top corners while Williams will continue to only be able to draw single coverage and teams will continue to bracket Beasley and Witten.

Unless we're spending an early pick on what's considered a weak receiver class, our best bet for success in the passing game is Bryant and Hurns at the No. 1 and 2 receivers.
