Huh....I did not know that. Thanks for sharing!

Honestly, though, I think we both agree, if the Cowboys are so in love with his intelligence, he would serve the Cowboys much better as an assistant offensive coordinator.

Exactly! You can keep him in the room, keep him involved in helping the other quarterbacks, and involved in the process, just not on the field and not taking up cap space and a roster spot.

Now that I think about it, I'd feel bad for the guy who lost his chance to join the practice squad because they kept Moore. He offers zero value on the actual field and if he pilots our scout team offense, I suspect our defense will be woefully under-prepared for Sunday against an actual NFL level quarterback.

Then if you really like him (and he accepts his fate), make him an assistant QB coach or something next year.

Exactly right. Nobody had any interest when Kellen Moore was a free agent and he re-signed with the Cowboys for the absolute least amount they could offer him. If that doesn't show the league's disinterest, nothing does.

Follow that up by looking like the only quarterback on this team who can't succeed in this offense? Case closed.

He works in Dallas or he works nowhere.

You can totally tell that Rush has everybody's attention. We're not going to cut him unless he stinks it up from here on out.
I'm with you, there have been several publications across the NFL MSM chirping on this topic. Everyone is well aware of this competition, including the FO and coaching......more to come
