Video: Cowboys' UDFA LB Justin Barron Lays the Wood

He's not as fast as I'd like him to be. Or doesn't play as fast, but maybe it's in there. Interesting prospect considering our LB room and the possibility of injuries.

And . . . He's also our highest paid free agent, so we wanted him here for a reason.

It amazes me and alarms me that we spend so much time aggrandizing these bottom of the barrel FAs. Do not our Fab first stringers not inspire us enough?

There are 53 players on the team. For many teams, even more than 53 end up contributing to success or failure.

You need role players. Like, not great but solid enough in whatever scheme you run.

They apparently think Barron is a scheme fit for the Big Nickel role.

We need role players?
Blimey!
The team is full of role players and castoffs. We could run a side business in dealing role players!

Justin Barron is the name of a football player. That's it.

I agree with the commentator on the second video this dude looks more like a strong safety he might play a little bit more like Donovan Wilson..

I mean who knows but at 225 is not much of a linebacker at least not anything on the strong side or middle linebacker but I could see him being a strong safety type..

The linebacker you should pay attention to just in case that would be the guy you waste a couple of draft picks to move up and get who didn't move the needle for a lot of people that would be your defensive coordinator wanted this guy really bad that would be James from Florida...

Got to be a reason they wanted him that bad to not see if they could have probably waited till he fell to them but somehow they got worried and panicked and moved up they could have got a pretty solid running back with those picks they wasted so he better turned out to be something...

I liked this UDFA pickup.
I have him as a dark horse player to Mae it, depending how many LB's they keep.
Most likely a PS player.

I first thought he could also play some at S, and he will need to be a standout on ST's to make the roster.
He will be in competition with James with James having the edge. Both could play some S and ST's.

Would have probably gotten penalized in the NFL for a hit to the helmet.
