The Dallas Cowboys unveiled the logo that will be prominently displayed throughout the 2010 season to represent the team’s celebration of its 50 prior NFL seasons.

The Cowboys will have a season-long celebration in 2010 that will focus on team highlights, championships, and individual player accomplishments from the organization’s storied past. The logo (see attachment) will be displayed on all club printed materials and will be also be attached to the team’s jerseys for all games in 2010.

Individual game tickets for all 10 home games at Cowboys Stadium will depict great moments in team history, while selected individual home games will celebrate different historical elements of the past 50 years.

Fans all over the country are fired up.

Jerry, call Bud Adams and tell him that we will play him in Nashville, again.

After Felix Jones hangs 150 on them and 2 TDs, you and all the Cowboys fans can take over his stadium, again. You can sign autographs, again.

Oh, how sweet that butt kicking was to watch.

Our fans took over the Tennessee Oilers' house.

I like its simplicity.

I feel like there's no more recognizable logo in sports.

Boring, uninspired, and a year too late. Thanks, Jerry.

P.S. Keep it off the ****ing uniforms. The green pants are bad enough.

Yeah, you'd have thought with the "Extra" year to prepare, they would have come up with a better logo.

Oh well.

One year too late. :bang2:

I thought I read somewhere that they didn't want to celebrate the opening of the new stadium along with the 50th anniversary at the same time I could be wrong.

I like the simplicity of this logo. Looks classic to me.

Correct, the Cowboys celebrate seasons (see 1984), not "anniversaries." He put a stadium ahead of team history.

9 teams got started in 1960.

They are the original AFL teams; the Jets, Patriots, Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs, Raiders, Bills, and Titans. Plus one NFL team, the Cowboys.

1 team got started in 1961. They are the Vikings.

8 of the 9 teams who started in 1960, celebrated their 50th anniversary season in 2009 as they should have. Only the Cowboys did not.

In 2010 two teams are going to celebrate their 50th season. The Vikings, in their 50th year, and the Cowboys in their 51st year.

It sickens me.

On top of this I consider it a slap at Tex Schramm who established the 25th Anniversary season with commemorative patch in 1984. Ironically our 25th season. 26 years later we get to honor our 50th season?

Not me. I will honor last year, the season it should have been.

I wished he would have used the Cowboy Joe logo as a nod to the team's existence prior to Jerry. But hey, we will celebrate our 51st year with a Super Bowl win. That will make it all better. :D

Get over it people. It's being celebrated this year. Deal with it.
My dealing with it is to completely ignore it for the idiocy that it is. As far as I am concerned it is stupid to celebrate 50 years in our 51st year. That is how I deal with it. I won't own anything with that logo unless it is given to me as a gift, and I doubt I will treasure those gifts.
