No it doesn't work that way. Non-playoff teams pick before any playoff teams.

Picks 1-18 are non-playoff team picks. Picks 19-32 are playoff team picks.

The worst pick the Cowboys could get is 18 and we already know the best we could have hoped for (before beating TB) was 11.

Of course, the order isn't final but I think there's a 50/50 chance he could drop to 15 ( if that's our final ranking ). For example, we rule out the top 5 teams coz no team will draft an RB that high. Most of the next 10 teams have their RB or more pressing needs than using a 1st pick. Talent-wise, he's a top 5 but positional value will drop him.

I just don't understand it. We aren't going to see what QB3 can do during game speed. These wins will give Jerry the excuse to retain all the coaches so he's comfortable. Never mind, I do understand it. It's Jerry. Plus I knew we'd find a way to lose out on getting deep into the draft. I am all for winning and I am not a "tank" the season type of guy but we should be putting all personnel in to see what we truly have for next year.

Tanking puts careers in Danger . Besides the same teams seem to draft high and have losing seasons every year no matter how high they draft . Thankfully Dallas is not in that neighborhood of losers

Cowboys are gonna win out. At 9 - 8, they'll be drafting 17 or 18. Hopefully more teams reach for a QB, and let a solid kid slide. It'd be nice to draft a better LT or about any position on the D.

Depends on the player. When I watch Jeanty, I see Emmitt Smith, but with better top end speed. Same size, build, vision, agility, and ability to avoid contact, he's built for longevity. It's never that simple, of course, but a guy like Zeke was/is a hammer. He's always been the guy to seek out contact and I think that led to his early downfall.

I used to care about tanking and draft positioning but now I see that it doesn't matter. Dak is still going to be the QB so it doesn't matter what non-QB prospect is there in the current range. Plus, there are too many bad teams in the league right now so cracking the Top-10 would have been too hard anyway.
