Lot of young 1-2 year players who could use his teaching.. Good signing
Come on. That's no better than doing this:I still think people have no idea what Dallas was paying some guys last year lol. By cap hit in 2025:
Donovan Wilson - $8.5m
Kenneth Murray - $7.5m
Dante Fowler - $6m
What is your point?Come on. That's no better than doing this:
Kenny Clark $2.3M
Clowney $3.5M
Pickens $3.7M
Clowney was really good last year. Fingers crossed we get something close out of Miller, but it is indeed a big ask. Possible though...The team is just hoping he can do what Clowney did last season...or something close. Personally I would be surprised if he did.....
His numbers were real money they make a year. Your numbers is just the base.Come on. That's no better than doing this:
Kenny Clark $2.3M
Clowney $3.5M
Pickens $3.7M
Hopefully that's how this year goes. Last year sure didn't...If I were the Cowboys I would use him VERY sparingly in the first half of each game (and the season for that matter) and then put him in fresh on obvious passing downs in the second half and let him get to the QB.
Him playing fresh vs guys who are slightly gassed would maximize his value to the team.
Von Miller was better last year.Clowney was really good last year. Fingers crossed we get something close out of Miller, but it is indeed a big ask. Possible though...
sacks yes but Clowney played all three downsVon Miller was better last year.
WHY??????????????? would you say something so completely untrue?Just think, JJ could have gotten a better teammate and player in Clowny for pretty much the same price! JJ, WHY?????????????

In his interview he said he is good with 12 plays a game and that he has always been a great teammate and prides himself on it. So yes, there is a good chance of this plus a few plays. Good signing and will help us now and for the future. How many games will he play for $5.5M? I've always liked Von Miller, but he's a decade past his prime. Non-prime Miller is still pretty good...if he can stay healthy. Maybe his biggest contribution will be teaching technique to the young pass rushers on the team.
He actually did better overall than Clowney did last season.
I especially like that Miller’s numbers were pretty consistent throughout the season whereas Clowney padded his numbers in a meaningless 3-sack game.

But Miller was consistently productive. His numbers didn’t rely on a meaningless 3-sack game.sacks yes but Clowney played all three downs
My point is to show your point is inaccurateWhat is your point?
I didn’t forget. I also didn’t forget that 3 of Clowney’s sacks came in a meaningless game.
Totally disagree. Sacks aren't all that matters and you perhaps forget Clowney didn't play a full season and still only had 1/2 sack less.
Miller was consistently productive throughout the entire season. Clowney padded his sack numbers with 3 in a meaningless game at the end of the season.Clowney had a real good year against the run and with the players he had around him, that's saying something. 41 Tackles to 26. PFF Grade not to say that is meaningful but it's at least independent: Clowney 79; Miller 64. I struggle to see how you can say Miller did better than Clowney last year. Maybe he will this year of course though
Uh, my point was that Miller's deal is fine because a bunch of crappy players got paid more.My point is to show your point is inaccurate
You pointed out guys who made more who played like crap as if that proves that his contract is good. I pointed out guys who made less who played well which sticking to your logic would show he is overpaid. For the record I think his contract is right about what it should be
I'm guessing some people just have to be the dissenting voice.WHY??????????????? would you say something so completely untrue?
