I've noticed the same thing. It's the "blitz but make sure no one gets passed you so don't really blitz just run fast at the blocker and then stop" blitz.

Marinelli is just too old, the game has passed him by like Kiffin. Still a decent position coach I guess...but for a defensive coordinator, his style doesn't fit this team.
