In today's NFL, play calling is as important as OL talent. Shanahan is a brilliant run designer and play caller. McCarthy is not. Hence why not much works against quality defenses.

It amazes me how the offense can suddenly go from one of the best in the league and consistently the best in the RZ for 3 years in a row and the only major change is a change in coordinator and somehow people on here are assuming that the players suddenly forgot how to play. I would focus on the thing that changed to make the offense go from top tier to below average and that is the change in playcalling.

That would go against the narrative that Moore was the problem which is like a religion for some of the delusional posters around here.
