Taking a sack at the 6 yard line in that situation overshadows his “stats”. Those are the plays that win and lose you games. Great he can play well against the eagles. But he can’t vs the 49ers, Bills, Cards. The entire team struggles when the moments are big and the teams they’re facing are physical and play bully ball. It’s the same thing every damn season.

So your ideal QB can magically block the pass rush (because Steele bungled that horribly and gave no time to get away for the 3rd time that quarter), can also grab his WRs and throw them open before throwing them the ball and anything else is a bad QB? That is basically your standard here. The reason you pay the OL is to block. If they do a bad job and miss blocks the QB gets sacked. It doesnt matter if its Wilson or Mahomes, if you the OL misses blocks , especially when the rusher goes inside, the QB goes down.
