Nice screen to Witten. WOW. I don't know who to blame on this. Play before was Dez with single coverage against a rookie. If your not taking that chance on 2nd and 17 I'm not so sure I have full confidence in you to win a big game.

That wasn't single coverage on Dez; the safety peeled back to cover underneath Dez.

The screen to Witten is just stupid.

Why would you even call a jet sweep there inside your opponent's 35? It occasionally works when you're on the other side of the 50 because the defense has to play the entire field. But now that you are in their territory, the field is shorter, less ground to cover. Easier for the defense to defend. So I have no idea what Linehan was thinking

I don't understand going away from something that is working. Gadget plays are for when you aren't having success in traditional ways. When you're dominating the run and pass game, why in the hell would anyone think its time to get cute? Those two play calls might end up being the difference in winning and losing this game, which conversely might be the difference in home field and a WC.
