Cowboys vs Buccaneers ***Game Thread***

pretty good offense...good half by Romo and receivers...our run game isnt doing much...OL pass protection continues to be solid

lousy defense...183 yds allowed, including 85 on the ground and 10 pts to a terrible offensive football team...almost no pass rush again, despite playing against a rookie 6th rd pick QB and two rookie OL's

Vanderjact fortunately hasnt had to try a FG

you think bill is trying to make his case for romo for probowl? We have the ball twice inside the 5 and he keeps throwing it? I say he's stat padding. Not that i care because a touchdown is a touchdown.

no, he is simply taking what their defense is allowing...our receivers are pretty much open on every play...and most plays its more than one guy open

I beg to differ, we've been getting good pressure, Grad has just been moving well and getting rid of the ball quickly

Very impressive start. The defense is not playing their A game but they are getting it done. Romo has been good, although he has made some bad throws, but has also made good throws.

Personal Note: I have Romo, Glenn, and Barber in fantasy, meaning 6TDs. YES!

I have glenn but didnt start him.

started j walker and M clayton instead, darn

its gonna be great being 3 games over 500 and leader of the divison for now. We will have 10 days to scout the giants and we will beat them and take the #2 spot in the confrence.

Bottom Line.... Life is great for cowboys fans right now. we went from being in doubt of making the playoffs to wondering which spot will we have.

TONY ROMO...I love you and im not afraid to say it.

I wish we did better than 10 - 36 in the running game. Hard to complain about a 11 point lead at half.

It's just called diversify the playbook.

On the pass to TG (the questionable TD), you can even fake that pass and run a QB sneak for a TD.

We're just showing more and more of the playbook so teams won't know whether we're going to pass or throw from certain formations.
Correct sir. We have already seen about 6 different plays out of that formation, I am sure Romo has the permission to improvise in that set.

M clayton

why on Earth is he still on your team, much less starting for it? he's been horrible this year

I'm assuming that's Mark Clayton of the Bucs

I guess people expect a sack or turnover every play :/

Our run game hasn't been bad, we're just not running the ball much. I like this strategy: pass early and get a lead, then run the clock out in the second half. Be prepared to see a lot more of Julius from here on out.

its official i hate country music no matter how hot the woman singing it is

We'll try to run them into the ground as the game wears on. Wears down their front pass rushing all half.

I am not a Carrie Underwood fan, but she has definitely had a Romo-like, meteoric rise.

Also I'm staying on the CB bandwagon for the off season. Anyone watching our pass coverage D closely can see that is the area needing upgrading the most. A better pass rush would certainly help. But Henry just can't keep up with the speedy guys anymore.
