I'm not one of the people who smack the coaching staff around (or Garrett as head coach) for wanting to be methodical and process drive...for thinking that you can build a team around execution and talent. In fact, I support that approach.

But, everything has to be in moderation...including moderation. Sometimes, you have to take a risk. Or, at the very least, choose to make a calculated gamble. Blitz. Don't rely it...I agree with that. But, every now and then, deviate from your patter, fight your tendencies, and consciously avoid risk aversion. In short, take a chance or two here or there.

They won't even take a chance when it has a degree of predictability to it. When your opponent is backed up, almost to their own goal line, go ahead an throw caution to the wind and carry through with a blitz. Don't fake it...just go through with one. Just once. Especially in that situation.
