great win! slow start but that was a hangover from the Denver game once they got over that they started getting back with what they do well. I like how Prescott played at the end of the first half and second. reminded me of how dak played last year.

what is with all of these hamstring injuries from the defense. the offense seems to be in better health then the defense.

Anybody who thinks that Arizona should have kicked a field goal at the end of the game doesn't understand the probabilities. So...you're going to kick a field goal when you have the ball inside the 10 and expect yourself to get an onside kick...drive roughly 50 yards and score a TD? Scoring 3 points quickly doesn't accomplish anything.

YR

Most commenting on it would have never even thought of the idea if Gruden didnt start talking about it.

He is what I've said he is. A game manager. He was awful tonight. Again. 13 completions. Is this high school?

You're not going to win too many games this way. We need to run a legitimate pro offense at some point.

28 points on the road against a good D should win you most games in the NFL. quit finding excuses. Dak won that game with effort on his TD run that clearly got the rest of the O going.

and that was a great GL stand preventing the Cards from coming back - the old Cowboys would have given up the score and let us sweat the onsider.

If the Cardinals weren't inept on offense without DJ that game would have been over at halftime.

If anything, you push the ball deep three times, knowing you can kick it if you have to, hoping to get the quick 7. I don't know why Gruden wanted to kick it there when they needed a 7 and weren't stopped yet.

Yep
Stupid ex-NFL HC who is thought to be an offensive genius

What I saw last night that was encouraging was more zone read type plays that make the defense ease off on their focus on Zeke. And rolling out Dak on pass plays is proving to be one of the more fruitful play designs. Arm strength looks much improved over last year.

Right? You really got me on that one. It was the 'couch potato' quip that really stung. How'd you come up with that one? It's gold. You didn't think of it soon enough, but you could also have called me a 'coach potato,' making fun of me for being both a potato *and* for thinking I'm a coach. That would have been better. You can have that one and use it on someone else, or use it on me later if I try to be a coach again.

Ooh, except one thing I just thought of...Gruden, who was fired by the Buccaneers back in 2009 and who hasn't coached in the league since, was himself criticizing a 2-time HC of the Year recipient and current offensive HC's decision to continue trying to score when he needed at least one 7-point play and the defense hadn't stopped him.

Woah! Right? Did you head explode just like mine did over here, @visionary? Just the idea that a 'coach potato' like me could agree with one respected offensive HC and *disagree* with another one. That's crazy right? It's, like, an NFL paradox or something. I'm not sure what to make of it. I mean, it's possible that one of those guys is right, and the other is wrong, but how will we ever figure out which is which?

Hey, wait. I have an idea. Why don't you offer your own opinion on the topic and we can decide together whether or not it sucks? We could maybe have a discussion about it or something, where you try to support your argument, and, if I disagree with you, I offer counter suggestions.

On second though, nevermind. That seems like a lot of work, and I know it's not how you usually like to post. You just stick to taking poorly-reasoned pot shots at other people, and I'll stick to talking to posters who actually have a clue what they're talking about and who know how to behave like reasonable adults in a community like ours. That's easier, right?

I'm going to guess it took you almost 20 minutes to look up the word 'diatribe' and decided that would be time better spent than actually replying to the topic with an opinion.

Which is cool. It's your prerogative and why you have the reputation and suspension history you've earned here. We're just happy you're trying.

Doubling down on the Gruden comment without acknowledging that it was Gruden actually disagreeing with the current head coach seems like a normal way for you to go. Congrats on being consistent, I guess?

Just because he sports a four pack doesn't mean he's not heavier. He looks bigger and slower this year. He needs to lose a little weight, and he's taking it to the house like DeMarco Murray did Sunday.

So it hurt huh ?

It was devastating. I know how valued your opinions are by CZ in general.

When the guys with more suspensions than likes come after you, you keep your head on a swivel.

About the going for a field goal and then I onside kick and then trying for the TV, that was the prevailing theory a few years back and that is the what teams would do either way can go wrong it is just a matter of opinion.
I don't think there is a right or wrong because you're going to need both and then the fact they needed a two-point conversion made it near Impossible.

Gruden said to kick back on the 30.
That way, you have the 3,and over a
minute if you get onside kick.
If u go for Td 1st team's usually use up
all the time getting The td .
