Right? You really got me on that one. It was the 'couch potato' quip that really stung. How'd you come up with that one? It's gold. You didn't think of it soon enough, but you could also have called me a 'coach potato,' making fun of me for being both a potato *and* for thinking I'm a coach. That would have been better. You can have that one and use it on someone else, or use it on me later if I try to be a coach again.
Ooh, except one thing I just thought of...Gruden, who was fired by the Buccaneers back in 2009 and who hasn't coached in the league since, was himself criticizing a 2-time HC of the Year recipient and current offensive HC's decision to continue trying to score when he needed at least one 7-point play and the defense hadn't stopped him.
Woah! Right? Did you head explode just like mine did over here,
@visionary? Just the idea that a 'coach potato' like me could agree with one respected offensive HC and *disagree* with another one. That's crazy right? It's, like, an NFL paradox or something. I'm not sure what to make of it. I mean, it's possible that one of those guys is right, and the other is wrong, but how will we ever figure out which is which?
Hey, wait. I have an idea. Why don't you offer your own opinion on the topic and we can decide together whether or not it sucks? We could maybe have a discussion about it or something, where you try to support your argument, and, if I disagree with you, I offer counter suggestions.
On second though, nevermind. That seems like a lot of work, and I know it's not how you usually like to post. You just stick to taking poorly-reasoned pot shots at other people, and I'll stick to talking to posters who actually have a clue what they're talking about and who know how to behave like reasonable adults in a community like ours. That's easier, right?
