The teams run defense looks very good. 1st, 2nd, 3rd team… it hasn’t mattered. They’re playing nice, hard, physical defense.

And the run offense looks equally good.

No. He used the hook to launch himself around the receiver and bat the ball. He didn't turn the receiver, though, so that's probably why it wasn't called. But he did impede the receiver's ability to make a play on the ball.
