Cowboys-Commanders start time changed to 3:15 p.m.

By TODD ARCHER / The Dallas Morning News
tarcher@***BANNED-URL***

With Washington needing a win to clinch a playoff spot next week, the NFL changed the starting time of the Cowboys-Commanders' kickoff at FedEx Field to 3:15 p.m.

The Commanders beat Minnesota on Sunday to improve to 8-7. With a victory against the Cowboys, they would make the playoffs for the second time in Joe Gibbs' second tenure as coach.

At 13-2, the Cowboys have clinched home-field advantage and may choose to rest some starters – such as Terrell Owens, who suffered an ankle injury Saturday at Carolina – until their first playoff game.

The Cowboys-Commanders' game at Texas Stadium on Nov. 18 was also shifted to a later kickoff

I have almost ZERO interest in this game honestly, I just hope Philips plays the defensive starters, I want to see Ware take home the sack title... And further make a case for Defensive Player of the Year!

How many nationally televised games does that make? 12 by my count. The NFL kept two more that would probably have made nationally broadcast spots.

But 12, is that some kind of record?

Do you think they would have moved the game if Green Bay had won yesterday and forced us to win in Was?

If the Commanders had lost, they wouldn't have made the move.

GB winning would have likely moved their game to national.

The move was announced at halftime when we were up 22-0 so we hadn't won yet. I guess they had a strong feeling Minn wouldn't be able to make up the deficit.

That strong feeling probably had more to do with seeing Tavaris Jackson behind center for the Vikes and little else.

Doesn't matter now but if they did move it, it would have given us an advantage because we would have had the option of monitoring the Green Bay-Detroit game.

It's enough to have me seriously consider dumping my NFL Ticket.
