Bigger problem is that he stared down the WR and the CB left his man to make the pick.

He was the first option and they got the matchup on the LB. Why would any QB look that off?? The Philly safety made a helluva play there. Out schemed on that play. The pass was a hair underthrown but it was the right throw.
Sometimes I wonder if people even understand offensive football.....

That is why they need a new OC designing better plays. That defender that made the int should be taken out of the play by a crossing route or motion or his man just lining up on the other side of the field. There is no reason there is another defender on that side of the field that can come off his man and make that play. Simple attention to detail with your play design makes that a non issue.

After watching the replay of Dak's throw, it looks like he was on target with it and just didn't see Douglas. The pass was going to drop into Cooper's breadbasket with maybe a slight slowdown. However, if he had led Cooper with it, Douglas wouldn't have had a chance at it.

It was one of those plays where Dak needed to put it where only his guy could get it because of the traffic.
