But it wasn’t. It was within 2 yards of the line of scrimmage. It’s a fundamental principle, when running rub routes, the WR has to run a natural “route”. Make contact look incidental. You can’t lower your shoulder while side-eyeing the defender you’re supposed to block.
The route was a natural route run by many receivers on most teams. You run 2-3 yards straight, then angle in toward the end zone in the gap between the safeties. It's a very common route.

In this case, the defender not only stopped Lamb from doing that, he knocked him down.

It is not the receiver's responsibility to avoid defenders. That burden is on the defender.

As I said, if Lamb had posted up, or even turned more inward it would have easily been offensive pass interference.

As it was though, Lamb ran a route many receivers run and the defender got caught chasing his man and lost sight of the receiver running his route and as a result, ran into him. Fortunately for him it was close enough to the line of scrimmage that it did not result on the defender getting an illegal contact penalty thrown against him. Unfortunately though, the receiver he was way behind chasing scored a touchdown.

Ref holding grudge against the Cowboys defense for last week's complaints.

Will be real embarrassing if we lose tonight while they have basically pulled all their starters Just Embarrassing performance

Kelvin will be covering smith for the next 7 years. If he would've started from day one, he'd be way better. He needs to jam more like Diggs. If Diggs won't jam, he might as well drop 10 pounds and get quicker.
Kelvin will end up being a better CB than Diggs. Book it.

Yeah we're all here to see you throw penalties. How about that hold on Gregory.
