Yes. If you get backed up then you may need some time on the clock. You expect your defense not to fold like that. That's where the responsibility lies.

you do realize we still had two timeouts. even if they got backed up they'd still have 3 plays to score with 20 seconds and 2 timeouts. not sure why you'd expect this defense to not fold. they needed more protection in that scenario.
