Game Day ***Cowboys vs Eagles Post game thread***

Who wants to bet Romo is all of a sudden a future Hall of Famer in the eyes of the media. They will focus more on the Romo injury (and Cowboys doom and gloom) rather than our "improbable victory" (according to Vegas and the experts/haters).

Refs just threw a late flag for holding on the last play... Trying to get the players back on the field

That was one ugly game but feels good to be on top of the division right now 2-0.

I'd have to re-watch to see if the O-line was as bad as they appeared at times but that defense was lights out. Sean Lee, Wilcox, Church, I think Lawrence even got in their and made some nice plays. If we can stay healthy on that side until Rolando and the gang get back we are really going to be a problem on that side of the ball.

Not shocked at all after they basically voluntarily chased out their offenses versions of Romo, Dez, and Murray this offseason.

The thing is they don't have the line talent to back that up. Dallas does. Dallas needs to bring up the guy we got from Seattle and just become a run oriented team. We won't win every game but we'll compete in a lot.

Here was my posting from March 12 when all of the 'get Peterson, OK to lose Murray' talk was going on:

My prediction - first Eagles game, this scenario occurs:

Value of Demarco Murray is proved without a doubt not by him rushing for the 85 yds he gets during that game, but by the fact that Adrian Peterson (which the Cowboys 'brilliantly got') misses a block on the Eagles blitz straight up the middle which knocks Tony Romo out for the season - with Romo's replacement winning 2 of the remaining games and Dallas falling to the cellar in the NFC East. Way to protect your $100+ million investment in Romo, Jerry.

If we activate Garrett next week, would that be the first player-coach situation ever in the NFL where the player is also the team's head coach?

Lz. You were way off. Romo's only out 6-8 weeks.

Murray might be better off moving to WR in that offense. He isn't a fit at RB there.

Silver lining? If we win 3 out of next 8 we're still in the playoff hunt. If Romo comes back.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. This is the moment Brandon Weeden seizes control of the starting job. Romo comes back to finish his career as a backup.

Now try and out homer that.

man what a ugly win today. losing romo really sucks. come on no way weeden takes control of the starting job and makes romo a backup that's funny. just cannot imagine what the rest of this season is going to look like now. the offensive line needs to play better and get this running game going to take pressure off weeden.
