I will NEVER understand running a route short of the yard to gain EVER!!!!! If I were a coach, I would remove any route that is short of a first down on a third down play. If a player runs it short, i would make him run bleachers the following week to pay for it.

Patriots do it all the time. But you need players that can actually get RAC.
