I think Theisman was higher on his leg (tibia/fibia or both).

With Dak it looked like his ankle.

It was his freaking femur snapped in half. Could have been a mortal injury if the femoral artery had been damaged. The injuries are not even remotely close. Dak's injury is more similar to Alex smith's or the one Allen Hurns suffered in the playoff game. His season is done, but not his career.
