Just a fantastic way to start the season. I haven’t had this much fun on opening day in years.

Marquese Bell is a really good player… and when I say he brings the lumber when he arrives at the ball carrier… I am probably understating things. He is a load and hits like a LB. Good Lord he gets there fast and in a bad mood.

Bell and Thomas were extremely impressive. Defense and special teams set the tone. Good balance on offense. We complimented the defense well with a balanced run game.

I honestly thought we'd need a big back for a game like this. Rain just kills your passing game. But, we protected the ball on offense and took it away on defense. You'll win a lot of ball games doing that regardless of the weather.
