Those aren't reasons, they're excuses. The ball was in front of him, the direction he was going and although it was high, Dez had two hands on it without fully extending. It was catchable.

No they're reasons. Such argumentation relies on looking at things holistically from multiple points of view. Just saying it hit him in the hands means nothing. A pass behind him that he has to reach for can hit him in the hands too.

I do. Jerry pretty much said it outright after Callahan was demoted once again and Linehan was brought in. Jerry pointed out the difference in offenses and philosophy and Garrett kept interfering with him and it wasn't fair to Callahan.

Then when he spoke about Linehan he said they can keep the offense and terminology, but playcalling would target their talent and give emphasis to the run.
