How can Jerry not know that it's time for Garrett to be let go? If the Cowboy's lose this game and Jerry walks away thinking everything is ok and no change is needed, that would be a signal to the rest of the world that Jerry has lost even more of his mental stability. Stephen would need to have a serious talk with dear old dad and try his absolute best to bring him back into the real world, the time has come for Jerry to understand this, the time is now.
