I think this game is going to be a nail biter. I know its a few weeks away but can't stop thinking about it. In NY on Sept 11 with everyone pulling for the Jets? It will be interesting since they have an excellent D and a capable O. I see a low scoring game. I also noticed a few threads back a few weeks ago where many were picking us to lose this game...Thoughts?:starspin

No one besides Cowboys fans are going to want the Cowboys to win that game.

Yeah, i figure its Dallas vs the United states on that night....

Prepare to hear 'The Jets are the REAL America's Team' all week...

Vegas has the Jets picked by 4 as of now with a question mark next to Miles Austin's name.....

I know everyone will be pulling for the Jets but I sure do like our offense against their defense, especially Dez Miles and Witten against their secondary. I think we can move the ball on them. On the flip side, Sanchez doesn't scare me and neither does their offense and I'm not convinced their oline is all that good.. We put heat on Sanchez, we have a really good shot to beat them..

I think we are think 10-6 on the year with a divisional title.

I think we are going to sweep the Giants and Commanders.

I think we will make everyone excited about the future.

But we are going to get raped on Opening Day. It is going to look like an episode of Oz.

I don't agree that everyone will be rooting for the Jets. The networks will be making it sound that way because of 9/11, but we still have way more fans. I know that I still rooted against the Yankees in the 2001 World Series.

Don't get me wrong, most people hate the Cowboys, but I don't think 9/11 changes it that much. Everyone already loves or hates us already.

And as far as the game itself... I really think the Jets are set up for a big fall. Just can't buy in to them.

The Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills plus their fans will want to see us win...

Other than that, and Cowboys fans, yeah, everyone will be pulling for the Jets.

Logic would make you think it would be a low scoring game but on these opening day games crazy crap happens. Bet the scores are into the 30’s. Cowboys are going to screen the Jets to death and i think the Jets will come out blazing on offense. I may have a panic attack before kickoff...not joking either, lol.

LOL - I don't know emp, could be - Rex is a great motivator and will have his team hyped on 9/11.

Their O-line is very physical and they will try to overpower our front 7, IMO they will win that battle.

And you know Rex with his many looks on D - we might have 2 rookies on the line - and they will be tested, and lets hope Tony doesn't get fooled and throws an INT or 2 - then it could get real ugly.

It will come down to whoever has the ball last. Our defense will be nowhere close to being ready but we're facing Sanchez. Is anyone here really that scared of Sanchez???

That is what's going to happen. I can see Romo farking up this game and all the putzes out there blaming him for Nazism and cancer. Look. We are running into a buzz saw on Opening Day. I don't care if it's Tom Landry's birthday. We are going to get raped. I would not be surprised if it were 35-3.

Nope but their line and running game aint no joke, if they get that going, that opens up Holmes and Plax.

I couldn't disagree more and will remind you when its close......

Wow, I just realized they are playing the Jets in NY on the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

Hope they have some super security.

I wish you would remind me if we win instead. I'm sorry to go all Dave-NC on this thread, but I don't see how we can win in such a hostile enviroment. Even the refs are going to be against us. You have no idea.

It's going to be a hostile environment for sure, Fireman Ed and Co. will have that place going nuts.

Probably going to be the toughest road game we've played since when we went up to Minnesota in the playoffs 09.
