does the qb look like he has a grasp of what the defense is doing so far? Running the ball is probably the way back into this game...However I wouldn't recommend doing it at trey flowers.

The main difference between the current Cowboys offense and the offense that was dominating earlier in the season is the receivers are mostly running come-back routes again just like they have been doing for years.

Slants, posts, crosses, etc. are way harder to defend than come-back routes.

They start every game like this. Midway through the second quarter they'll go to the double moves and crossing routes.
